I'm also in a similar situation...
Our priority date is April 2006 and we'd received a RFE in 2009 which we'd responded in June 2009, however, still no update on our case status.
I'd opened a SR, send an email to Nebraska service center and also approached my local senator/congressman, but no update as of yet and just the standard reply.
What to do to expediate? We've been current for more than a month now! :(

Yes, the old system will be restored. Please note that this is the only sure fire way of EB3-I going forward. There is some comments that EB3-I can really only benefit if EB2-I goes current with the current horizontal spill over rules. Such statements are clearly misleading. Eb3-I will not directly be impacted by EB2-I being current. It just allows EB3 to get a lot of numbers which will first be used by EB3-ROW before spilling over into EB3-I.
With this change, we get EB3ROW move ahead faster, it probably would have been C had the rules been followed, and EB3 would have started moving ahead.
The only way for EB3 to move ahead is for EB3-ROW to become current, nothing else will help EB3 beyond the visa recapture (which is iffy at best). If we get USCIS to follow rules, this happens sooner, and EB3-I starts to move sooner. If not, EB3-I shall wait for a long time.

I called the members and most of the calls went to voicemail. Left a message urging them to support the bill. I also started posting this in our university Indian student Association group so that they can start calling. I thank IV for the telephone numbers.

Nothing will happen. The dates will be retrogresses on Monday. May be we will see 'U' in Visa Bulletin. The AILA will try to pursue DOS and USICS but they will politely say "sorry for the trouble" This will lead to the law suit. Some people will submit their resignation. We are a husband and wife, both filing.
My priority date is Oct 06 and my wife's will be July 1st. (or so.)
My wife's company is a large multinational and her job is secure. My company is small and not making oodles of money right now.
So I consider my wife's to be solid and slow and mine to be less solid but faster.
I predict that mine will get approved before hers and they'll drop hers. But because I simply do not trust USCIS to process them without a hitch, we're filing twice. Shotgun theory.
Our lawyers seem to concur. If our PDs were the same and our companies were similar, it probably wouldn't be worth filing twice.
My question is regarding the EADs and APs. I believe that I should file through her because they are more "solid" applications. I assume that the EAD/AP will be processed prior to the 485 and priority date does not affect them. Her job is more secure than mine and so her EAD would be too..

Do you think the director just decided to forward the flowers? I am sure he must have called a Monday meeting to counter this. A suggestion during the meeting must have been to forward the flowers to the veterans.
No they had to pass it through the senate first, the house debated on it and the President Veto'd it and as history shows the USCIS took things into their own hands and decided to forward the flowers anyway (with immigrant notes) to the hospital.

Why do you think so many many people were allowed during the Y2K thing. To make us realize our American dreams??.. You heard me.
If you go by statistics, PhD holders in this country are mostly from outside. Same case with Masters. You will see not that many Bachelors though. Why do MS, INtel, Oracle etc etc strees so much on H1s.
Let it be not real, BUT when you say we are ALL going back with disappointment, the system will look at it differently. The system is broken as top US companies agree.
